Our friends, the 4x4 doctors

E.M.A-Emergency Medical Assistance is a nonprofit organization founded by an enthusiastic doctor, Dr. Emanuel Baciu, with the purpose of implementing a project that can help us, the people around us and can also improve the medical assistance provided in special, extreme situations.

It’s main goal is to equip an off-road car with medical equipment (an off-road ambulance) and to provide medical assistance, support and transport (for persons, medical supplies, food etc.) for people living in isolated mountainous areas, where the normal ambulance cannot reach.

They are raising funds now for a 4x4 ambulance, if you are interested you can see more on their website and maybe make a small (or large) donation for the cause.

You saw them during this year's edition taking care of the wounded (thank god, they didn't had a hard time).
We hope to see them in TAT2009 with their dream-car, the Defender 110 ambulance!

Thank you very much for your support ! I hope in 2009 at TAT to provide medical assistance, in off-road conditions, with a new, full equipped extreme ambulance car.

I also want to thank you, to all the people who will contribute to this project!

11 November 2008: an EMA team will be in Belgium (nearby Gent) where Kristien Saelens ( the women saved from the floods in the summer on Vaser Valley by EMA volunteers ) organize a party for raising founds for EMA offroad ambulance car.
It seems Rudy ( the TAT 2008 photographer from Belgium ) will be there too ...
Many greetings to all TAT 2008 team members and participants !
